AnimeChicago is proud to present its fifth symposium series: .future/now: anime through the lens of communication and connection in online worlds. From the classic Serial Experiments: Lain to Sword Art Online and other prevalent video game informed isekai of today, this event will examine the intricacies of living in our modern always online world as reflected in anime.
Guest presenters William Vasquez, YouTube channel Digital Dream Club, and Lawrence Eng will guide us through the maze that is our interconnected lives as shaped by the likes of social media and role-playing.
