Giftland Inc., 2212 S Wentworth Ave, is worth a stop if you’re traversing Chinatown with friends for an afternoon. This is the closest we have to an anime store near downtown Chicago, and frankly, it’s filled with kitchy trinkets that are mostly bootlegged. Don’t expect quality anime figurines or any DVDs whatsoever. But if you’re looking for kawaii Totoro plushies, Sanrio paraphernalia, and a wide selection of bento boxes and wall scrolls for cheap, this would be the place within city limits.
